Quick Luddite Notes

🍬 Haribo is such a crappy brand!

Haribo has approximately one bazillion types of gummy candies or jellies, and they cannot manage their ranges across countries. Heck, not even in Germany!

Most of their products are crap, especially the fizzy range, but also the classic gummies that look as if they were wet. I suppose they aren’t, but they still look like molusks.

I only tried and liked two specific variants of their shit. Unfortunately, the one I liked the most is impossible to find in Germany!

Haribo Exotix is something I encountered in Romania, but not in the major supermarkets, which only sell, like always, the usual range that I wouldn’t touch with a 10-ft pole. I found it in a “La Doi Pași” franchise. Now I can’t find it anywhere!

Even the official Haribo sites don’t mention it, with the exception of the French ones (presentation site, webshop), but it’s labeled as “épuisé”!

What I found in Romania was, however, “Pocket Size” and in English. I’m pretty sure it was imported from Hungary. In the case of the range sold in Hungary, “Pocket Size” means 80 g, not 100 g.

Second-best after Exotix, IMO, is Peaches. That one is available in Germany not only on the main site, but also zu kaufen.

Warmer colors at REWE:

The international edition in English also comes in “Pocket Size” (which can be 100 g or 80 g). I couldn't find it by searching on the official site, but Google found it on the same German site, listed as Halal:

The site for South Africa has the smaller “Pocket Size” at 80 g:

Not in stores anymore.

So, in brief, a mega-famous company can’t fucking manufacture and sell something that has the chance to be loved not only by the most retarded of the kids, and even less in “Pocket Size”! Why would anyone want to buy 175 g or 180 g bags? To be tempted to eat an entire bag at once and get fatter?

This is not a flaw specific to Haribo, though. All multinational corporations are huge bags of shit that overcomplicate their product ranges by offering different subsets to different markets, in different sizes, while not being able to ensure they actually do so reliably! Another example: Tic Tac® by Ferrero. Make a trip across Europe, and you’ll find different variants of Tic Tac® by just crossing a border!

What the fucking fuck does it mean to have “an integrated European Union market” when such fucktards REFUSE TO SELL ALL THEIR PRODUCTS IN ALL EU COUNTRIES?

Fucking retards. I want my Exotix back!
