I could never understand the need for SAR and DAR
This is not the first time that I have found the presence of SAR and DAR in video files redundant. Here’s an example:
1920x804 [SAR 1:1 DAR 160:67]
This video should be displayed pixel-for-pixel. So why bother with SAR (Storage Aspect Ratio or Sample Aspect Ratio) and DAR (Display Aspect Ratio)?
