🔥 Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 14IRH10 has surprisingly good cooling!
I love my IdeaPad Slim 5 14IRH10 (i5-13420H) for its full-aluminum body—something rare at this price point. It literally runs cold with the default power profile (both governor policy and energy preference) in Debian 13 XFCE, but even if I set everything to “Performance,” it rarely goes over 50°C! The maximum I got is 56°C, but I only captured 54°C in a screenshot:

The temperature of the CPU package is displayed by xfce4-sensors-plugin.
In contrast, my Acer running Win10 IoT and my wife’s ASUS (AMD) running Win10 Home have such poor heat evacuation that they require Camomile, because they can get that hot:

At least with my Acer Aspire 3 A315-59-32MA (i3-1215U), this is strange, since it has huge exhaust vents below and above—the ones on top are a horrendous design, sending hot air right next to the screen! But even when the fan works hard, the CPU somehow can get very hot.
“IdeaPad Slim 5” seems to be the right keyword. “Slim 5” and “Intel”—not “Slim 3” (which is plastic) and by no means AMD!
