🦊 Shitty Firefox 157 OOM’d my Windows and killed it!
I was editing a WordPress post that includes several videos, and this fucked-up piece of shit that’s Firefox 157 OOM’d my Windows 10 IoT LTSC 21H2 19044.766!
First, that tab crashed in Firefox, and I was prompted to reload it, which I did.
The tab crashed again, and Windows became unresponsive. CTRL+SHIFT+ESC launched Task Manager, which showed Firefox using about 10 GB of RAM.
Then Windows told me that it had to kill Antigravity IDE and invoked OOM as a reason.
Then Windows stopped responding and crashed altogether. It only crashed the session, in theory, and it tried to reopen it, but the new session wasn’t quite alright, so I had to shut down.
Someone must fork this piece of diarrhea that’s become Mozilla Firefox, or else we’re all fucked and captive to Chrome and all Chromium derivatives. This is a de facto monopoly.
The shitheads at Mozilla are focusing on AI. I wish them all colorectal cancer.
